The BorderPlex region has experienced tremendous growth
in the past few years, with no end in sight. There are many new housing developments in progress,
from gated retirement communities to luxury golf-course homes. Residential real estate has steadily
grown, with plenty of active listings throughout the area.
The East Mesa of Las Cruces is
the fastest growing area and several new developments are springing up in the valley close to the Rio
Grande River and in Santa Teresa. As of the second quarter of 2007, the median sale price for new
and existing homes in Las Cruces was $228,000 and $159,000 respectively.
